BEER AND WINE COMBO
Dogfi sh Head Craft Brewery Inc. combined its 60 Minute IPA with Syrah grape must from California to create Dogfi sh Head Sixty-One. Launching this month, the beer/wine hybrid features 6.5 percent alcohol by volume. A fourpack of 12-ounce bottles will be available four times a year and will have a suggested retail price between $8.99 and $9.99.
CHILLING OUT
Through a strategic alliance with PepsiCo's Tropicana brand, Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc. developed new Ocean Spray Premium Cranberry and Blueberry juices for the refrigerated section. An 8-ounce serving of each juice provides a full day’s supply of vitamin C with no artifi cial fl avors, colors or preservatives, the company says. The juices are available in 59-ounce carafes for approximately $3.99.
SQUEEZABLE FITNESS ENHANCER
Kraft Foods Group Inc. unveiled its new Mio Fit liquid water enhancer, which enables consumers to turn water into a zero-calorie sports drink. Packaged in a squeezable bottle like the original Mio, the new Mio Fit contains electrolytes and B vitamins. It is available in Arctic Grape and Berry Blast fl avors in two bottle sizes with 18 or 12 servings in each bottle. One bottle has a suggested retail price of $3.99.
A 'LAVISH' OFFERING
Lavish Vodka Cocktail recently made its debut in the United States. Made in Austria and currently available throughout Europe and Asia, Lavish Vodka Cocktail is imported by Nammarico Corp. The carbonated ready-to-drink cocktail contains 11 percent alcohol by volume. The vodka in the drink is three times fi ltered and distilled, and the cocktail does not contain caffeine, taurine or vitamins, the company says. A 355-ml can has a suggested retail price of $2.99.
STAR-STUDDED SPIRIT
Actor George Clooney, bar and restaurant mogul Rande Gerber, and Discovery Land Co. Chief Executive Offi cer and Founder Mike Meldman launched Casamigos Tequila in the United States. Imported by Serralles USA LLC, the small-batch, ultra-premium tequila is made from handselected 100 percent Blue Weber agave grown in the Jalisco Highlands of Mexico and is available in Reposado and Blanco varieties. Each batch is taste-tested and approved by the Casamigos master distillers, Gerber and Clooney, ensuring the product’s quality before going into the bottle. The batches are then numbered and signed by Gerber and Clooney. A 750-ml bottle of Casamigos Reposado has a suggested retail price of $49.99, and a 750-ml bottle of Casamigos Blanco retails for approximately $47.99.
INDULGENT FLAVORING
Phillips Distilling Co. added UV Candy Bar vodka to its portfolio of fl avored vodkas. The vodka is infused with all-natural milk chocolate, caramel and peanut butter fl avors with 30 percent alcohol by volume. UV vodka is distilled four times for premium quality and activated carbon fi ltered to ensure a high level of purity and an ideal pH balance. UV Candy Bar is available in multiple bottle sizes with a suggested retail price of $12.99 for a 750-ml bottle.
AMAZONIAN TEA
Runa Tea added two unsweetened fl avors to its line of guayusa teas: Lime and Guava. According to the company, guayusa tea contains as much caffeine as a cup of coffee and twice the antioxidants of green tea. Guayusa is a native Amazonian tree leaf known for its health benefi ts, such as immune support, digestive aid, appetite suppression and brain performance, the company says. A 14-ounce bottle has a suggested retail price of $1.99.
ALL GROUND UP
Caribou Coffee Co. added two new ground coffees to its portfolio: Colombia Cosecha de Oro and Traveler’s Roast. Colombia Cosecha de Oro is a light-roast coffee with caramel, vanilla and fruit fl avors, the company says. Traveler’s Roast is a medium-bodied blend of Kenya, Natural Process Ethiopia or El Salvador, Washed Ethiopia and Central American coffees with berry and orange rind fl avors, it adds. Like all Caribou coffees and espressos, Colombia Cosecha de Oro and Traveler’s Roast coffees are Rainforest Alliance-certifi ed. A one-quarter-pound bag retails for $4.95; a half-pound bag retails for $8.39; and a 1-pound bag retails for $14.99.

Hip Brand Development, also known as the WickedCorp, launched Wicked Hard ready-to-drink carbonated cocktails made from distilled grain spirits and real sugar. Distilled by Mile High Spirits in Denver, every aspect of the product, from development and formulation to packaging and production, is procured using Colorado goods and services, the company says. Available in Lemon Love, Orange Rush, Badass Berry and Papa’s Peach fl avors, each 355-ml can contains 9 percent alcohol by volume. A single can retails for approximately $3.49, and a four-pack has a suggested retail price of $10.99.
FORTIFIED WATER
Oceans Omega LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mycell Technologies LLC, launched Omega Infusion Enhanced Water fortifi ed with omega-3s EPA and DHA. One 17-ounce bottle contains 80 mg of omega-3s EPA and DHA, 200 percent of the recommended daily value of vitamin C, and 80 percent of four B vitamins, the company says. Omega Infusion Enhanced Water is available in Berry, Fruit Punch, Citrus and Orange fl avors. A bottle has a suggested retail price of $1.99.
CAFFEINATED AND CARBONATED
XL Energy Drink Corp. added a Lime & Lemon fl avor to its line of carbonated energy drinks. With 115 calories in each 8.4-ounce can, the drink has a suggested retail price between $0.99 and $1.49.
REDUCED-CALORIE COCKTAILS
This month, Big Easy Blends expanded its line of pre-mixed cocktails in pouches with three new 100-calorie fl avors. The new varieties include Classic Lime Margarita, Strawberry Daiquiri and Mango Daiquiri. A 10-ounce pouch has a suggested retail price of $1.99.
PROTEIN FOR WOMEN
CytoSport Inc. launched a naturally fl avored protein shake targeted at women. Available in Vanilla Crème, Chocolate, Strawberry, Mixed Berry and Café Latte fl avors, Evolve is sweetened with stevia, cane sugar and monk fruit and features conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which helps reduce body fat, maintain lean muscle mass and improve body composition, the company says. Evolve is lactoseand gluten-free and contains 110 calories in each serving. It also is an excellent source of fi ber and includes 12 grams of protein and 20 vitamins and minerals, it adds. A four-pack of 8.4-ounce cartons retails for approximately $7.99.
SEDUCTIVE SPIRIT
Bonfun Wine LLC launched Kamasutra vodka in the United States. The liquor is infused with ginger, ginseng and a blend of exotic herbs and can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as a mixer, the company says. Kamasutra is packaged in a sculptured-glass bottle that evokes the fi gure of Rati, the Hindu goddess of passion.
SIMPLY BLENDED
The Coca-Cola Co. added three new varieties to its Simply brand of juice drinks. Simply Orange with Tangerine and Simply Orange with Banana join the Simply Orange blend family, which already includes Mango and Pineapple varieties. Simply Lemonade with Blueberry joins the Simply Lemonade family, which includes Raspberry and Mango varieties. All three new Simply beverage varieties are packaged in 59-ounce carafes and available in the chilled juice section of grocery stores nationwide.
WINE FOR A CAUSE
KWV launched a line of seven African Passion wines in the U.S. market. Ten percent of all sales will be donated to the TransAfrica Forum, which promotes diversity and equity in foreign policy and justice for the African world, the company says. The wines are available in the following varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, Moscato, Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc. A 750-ml bottle retails for approximately $8.99.
ISLAND SPIRIT
Island Distillers added Hawaiian Moonshine to its portfolio of Hawaiian distilled spirits. At 100 proof, Hawaiian Moonshine is a modern version of an 18th century Hawaiian okolehao, distilled from ti root and sugar cane. According to the company, okolehao was the original Hawaiian spirit, fi rst distilled in 1790 from native ti root. A 750-ml bottle has a suggested retail price of $32.99.
HEALTHFUL BLENDS
The Republic of Tea launched a line of SuperHerb Teas that are all-natural, caffeine-free and gluten-free certifi ed and contain various nutrients and antioxidants that assist in attaining peak performance, strength, longevity and daily wellness, the company says. The full line will be comprised of three herbal tea blends. The fi rst to launch in the collection is Moringa, which blends leaves from the “miracle tree,” Moringa oleifera, with mango as well as green rooibos from Rainforest Alliance-certifi ed farms. Moringa SuperHerb Tea currently is available for purchase nationwide; two additional SuperHerb teas will join Moringa in the line later this spring. Each of the teas come in sleek tins that hold 36 tea bags and retail for approximately $13.
FLAVOR EXPANSION
TalkingRain Beverage Co. added two fl avors to its line of Sparkling Ice zero-calorie beverages. Peach Nectarine and Crisp Apple fl avors were requested by consumers and thus far are receiving positive consumer feedback on overall fl avor rating, according to consumer testing, the company says. A 17-ounce bottle has a suggested retail price of $1.29.
VODKA INFUSION
Campari America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Davide Campari-Milano S.p.A., together with its affi liate Gruppo Campari, launched Skyy Infusions Wild Strawberry. The vodka features ripe berry, tropical vanilla and white chocolate fl avors, the company says. It is available in 50-ml, 750-ml, 1-liter and 1.75-liter bottles for $1.99, $18.49, $23.49 and $26.99, respectively.
